Aside from acting she got her first role as a lead in the 2003 comedy starring teenagers in Love Don't cost a Dime. In the movie, she played Ghosts of Girlfriends Past starring Jennifer Garner. She took an unplanned break from the industry of music to film Bring It On: Fight to the Finish. Milian's return to the music industry was focused on the promotion of Us Against the World, and she filmed her music videos. The show, which became an instant hit, was aired in the tv channel for 10 years. Recent work of hers includes the role of an actor as a character in Mothers and Daughters, a drama film. She won the TV Guide Award in recognition for her role in Friends in addition to the Golden Derby Award in recognition for her part in Cougartown.
